Church Restoration

Nov 22, 2017 | Arts & Music, Local & Global Action

The Saint Ninian Cathedral in Antigonish was painted by the world renown french Canadian painter, Oziaz Leduc, in the early 1900’s. Over the years the church would upgrade its look and large portions of Leducs work would be painted over. Recent water damage to the Cathedral has caused the paint to pull from the walls. The Cathedral is now on a race against time to restore Leducs work. As the restoration process takes place and the original art work is revealed, the church seeks help to fund restoration of all Leducs historic paintings.
